I'm getting ready to take a plunge....

Pottery from Guadalajara, Mexico
ca. 1992

This Wednesday I am moving... moving in to a booth at a local antiques consignment mall. It's tiny. It's only 6' x 4'. I'll be selling things that I had tried early on to collect, but just either lost interest or just didn't have much luck with the hunt.

I am featuring pottery that I will hopefully sell. The pattern is very different. In fact, I bought every piece I could find... and that hunt lasted for about 10 years. I have never seen the pattern on this pottery anywhere. I think it's so pretty. I never used it but enjoyed displaying it for years in one of my glass front cabinets in my kitchen.

Anyway, I'm getting very excited about this. I won't have to stay with the booth day in and day out... just make an appearance to rearrange, clean and pay my rent...  oh, and maybe get a little $$. We'll see. I will feel better passing my things along to collectors than just leaving them boxed up.

I'll keep you posted. Wednesday is moving day.

I've never seen pottery like that. Its very lovely and definately has the Mexican feel to it. Very pretty.
That IS exciting to have a spot to set up and hopefully you'll have just the right people come by and buy the pieces. They are too nice to have packed away.
Good luck! Wish I could do something like that...
have a great evening

How fun for you. I'd love to see a picture of the booth after you get it set up!

Woo-hoo, & Congrats! Karen. May your days be fun & lots of moo-la! The search for the merchandise is an obsession that I truly miss. It is a lot of fun ... we just closed down last fall our 13 shops ... I miss it, but I don't.

Have a beautiful week.
TTFN ~ Hugs of love, Marydon

The pottery in the picture is superb - both colour and design. I'm sure you'll sell it well.
Anyway, I wish you Good Luck with the booth set up and with the sale!

I have never seen this pattern either. What does it say on the bottom of it?
Good luck with your booth.

Karen, I am so excited for you!! You go girl!! Love your pottery from Guadalajara, it is really stunning! I have a feeling it will sell right away! Good luck!

Thanks for dropping in to see me today! You asked about the vase, it's really a pitcher, I use it as a vase often! It's a vintage Harker Hotoven piece, have had it for years! You have seen it on my blog in the background of a photograph! Good eye!

Can't wait to hear all about your new adventure!!

Good luck on your move. My sister had a booth for some time and really enjoyed tinkering with it. She loved moving things around and re-arranging things there. I hope you will thoroughly enjoy it. I've never seen pottery like it. It is very different.

Congratulations and safe, well move. I am sure you will have a wonderful experience.
Be sure that as you are puttering and straightening you do not spend all the profits on other antiques!
