Redecorating my kitchen counters!

I try to redecorate my kitchen countertops periodically, but
when I get really serious about redoing...
I remove everything!

This is phase 1

I flipped the "coffee corner" and moved it to the opposite
side of the counter. Tomorrow morning is going to be
r-e-a-l interesting when I wander into the kitchen in
my early morning stupor to concoct our morning
cuppa joe.

And here is the new coffee corner!
I think I'm really going to like it.
The little lamp will remain on  24/7 as
I like a little light on at all times.
It's just a nightlight bulb.

Phase 2 is still to come.

Oh... and if you think that white can opener needs to be
removed... I'm getting there... my three sons gave it to
me one Christmas 10 or 12 years ago.
Funny the things you can be sentimental about!

Stay tuned...

This week I will be linking to...

First of all, Karen, your kitchen looks GREAT! I want to redo mine. Maybe someday!

OnMaggie's blog you asked about Downton Abbey -- I think you can see all of series 2 on http://video.wkar.org in the Masterpiece category under programs. I'm not sure if Downton 1 is still there; they had it up for awhile. Or, if you want to spend a bit, at http://pbs.org you can go to the SHOP section and find it there. Amazon probably has it, too. I love this series so much! It's fun to hear others do, too!

Hi Kare,
I saw your comment on Maggie's too. If you google it there will be info there. I think you can watch it on line.
It is so good!

It looks so wonderful, Karen! It's a good thing to update our kitchen every once in a while, isn't it?! I LOVE cleaning everything off of my counters...even if it's just for a little while--so refreshing!

Wishing you a beautiful day, my friend!

Great new look! Your kitchen looks stunning, Karen :)

Thank you for visiting my lil'blog and leaving a sweet comment. Sorry about Google translator not working. The glass dish with the lid came from my maternal grandmother. She used to store her rings on the pointy lid and some other jewelry inside it. She died last year at the age of 90. Miss her so much. It feels good to surround myself with great memories and things that once belonged to her :)

Greetings from Australia♥

PS. You asked if I ride dressage, I did beginning dess. years ago but did not have the opportunity to follow up. I've always ridden hunt seat. Sadly, I haven't ridden in years and miss it a lot! Would love to get back into it though!

Hi Karen. I just love the coffee corner! Don't be surprised if you wake up one morning and all of your black and white checkered accessories have gone missing! So - how was it the next morning? Did you find the coffee?

Just discovered that you are a new follower, so had to pop over to meet you & see what your blog is all about. I really like the way you arranged the kitchen counter tops, & the black & white check pieces are wonderful. I'm definitely a new follower.
