When the spirit moves you!

I invited my son over for dinner tonight, so he, my husband and I were enjoying a meal together. I had prepared chicken breasts with fresh rosemary, artichokes and then a serving of rice. A very simple meal. As we were having a pleasant conversation I looked at my MacKenzie-Childs platter, plates and cups and then to my left at a cute little Easter village building I had recently purchased along with two bottle brush trees. I had not decided yet where I was going to put the building. It hit me like a bolt of lightening that it all went together! I pushed my half-eaten dinner away, got up and immediately started "playing" with a scene that was coming to me fast and furious. My guys hadn't a clue what had gotten in to me... but I just told them that when the spirit moves ya, you need to act on it! Surely you know what I mean.... The men just shook their heads and kept on eating.

Hurray! I'm just in the nick of time for Show and Tell Friday
at My Romantic Home. Come for a visit!!

Very fun. It makes me think of a fairytale.

I hope up and do things like that all the time, don't even know I'm thinking about it until I jump up! I love your little scene and I've enjoyed reading about the milk glass punch bowl and the pic of your mom, how sweet...I had a base, never found the punch bowl for it, used it for soap holder in bathroom, but broke it a couple of days ago. Funny! I do the same sort of thing all the time. I can't sit still most of the time!

I know exactly what you mean! It is almost 7AM here and I want to do some decorating in the bedroom! BUT, Papa Bear is still snoozing! I hope the spirit is still with me when he wakes up!

Have a blessed day my friend, HUGS!

It's lovely! Ha ha, I've done the exact same thing. I was up a little early this AM so I moved a few little things around. If hubby had been awake he would have said, "what are you doin'?" Then he would have just shook his head!

I think it's a disease or something. Do you think there's a support group for us?

Blessings!

Sounds like a woman to me!!! Why is it we just can't sit still at times? Men just don't understand us, do they? You put a pretty vinyette together!

I can totally relate...my family has also thought on more than one occasion that I've "lost it" when moved by the spirit! Love the vignette!

Too Cute!! You and the scene!!!

Simple meals at my house are chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese! I think I'd rather eat at your house!

Karen, I love MacKenzie-Childs items~ there is just something so sweet and whimsical about them. Your little vignette came together well. I used to collect small houses similar to yours. They were called the Cat's Meow collection.
Still have them and pull them out at Christmas to create a village.
It is funny how the mood strikes us and we stop whatever we're doing to do what we "need" to do. *grin* I'm glad you came by for a visit. I love my riding helmet. Its color is definitely atypical. Wanted to say that your home down in Mexico was most certainly the culmination of a lot of vision and hard work. It looks lovely, and what a place for the family to gather! ~ Sue
