Beauty, silver, tickles and giggles!!

Hydrangeas ...
under construction!

Amazing what I will show ... I just treated myself to
these at Pier 1 yesterday. I fell in love with hydrangeas
when I made a visit to Blowing Rock, North Carolina
during the Mitford Days. Real hydrangeas were
everywhere!!
Now I have to see if I can create an arrangement with them.

Silver Tray...

Frankly, I do not know my "silvers", but this was
beautiful... after I polished it. I'm a weird sort... I love to
polish silver. It's very theraputic, you know.
Would you believe... I bought this for
$15!

"Bree-os-kee"

Recently my refrigerator has not had a bottle of
Brioschi in it. It's a lot like Alka-Seltser. That's a first in probably 40 years of marriage...
or my lifetime! The local stores and pharmacies here have stopped selling it. So I ordered a box on the internet.
When I was a little girl my sister and I would take just one
little piece of Brioschi to plop onto our tongue.
Ohhhh... the tickle and the giggles!!

Have a super weekend, everyone!
Stay warm...

Fun stopping by to visit with you Karen. I don't mind polishing silver but have never used the product you have. I had my hands in silver polish the other day.

Pretty hydrangeas too!

How interesting...all the things on your blog! McCook, Chestahowa (sp) McAllen! I was born and raised in McAllen and lived there until we moved to Pflugerville. Where do you live? My friends and I used to do Dias Festivos. What a small world. Where do you live? Raymondville? I'm just sick about the crap going on on the border with the drug business. I love the Valley and just hate all that stuff. And yes - I like your music! We're such rebels! :)Nancy

You can have all my silver! Ha! My sister and I have a pack... I do her mending and she polishes my silver. PS I don't have any anymore! I didn't enjoy polishing it. Enjoy yours! It is a beautiful piece. I love all kinds of flowers though.

Karen, I smiled when I read that you enjoyed polishing silver...I agree 100%...it's like a little restoration project without power tools. I visited today because Nancy Gail had visited you and said we have so much in common. I lived in McAllen from third grade until we moved to New Braunfels in 1995. After we moved, I used to be in the Valley and Mexico at least three or four times a year, but not lately. It makes me so sad not to feel safe in Mexico any longer because there were so many great places to shop and eat.
Your blog is beautiful.

What a beautiful blog you have. I have so enjoyed my visit here. Love the silver tray. If you would like to know if it is genuine silver, smear a dab of French's (must be French's) mustard on it and heat it with a lighter. If the smear turns black, it is silver. You can take the smear away with a bit of vinegar. Or just polish it!

Thanks you so much for visiting. Your kind words mean alot to me at this time.

BTW - I was stationed at Ft Hood for 2 years. Military life does suck at times.
