Show and Tell Friday: Murano Glass Candlesticks

Italian Murano Glass Candlesticks

In my early days of blogging I featured this picture... my excuse for such poor photography stated. Ha!
The colors might seem a little on the bright side, but these candlesticks are
beautiful to me.
My aunt began her career in the 1950's. She made a trip to Italy
and purchased these for her mother.
Eventually they were passed down to my parents... and then fortunately to me.
They do not match a single thing I own, but they are beautiful to me.. ooops! I already stated that.

Meet Jo Anne... perhaps on the trip where she purchased the
exquisite candlesticks.

Beautiful candle sticks. Family pieces can always find a place in our homes even when they don't match our decor can't they?

I love things that have a history! Most of the things in my house tell a story. One day my son said, "Well, if anything happened to ya'll, I'd just get rid of this and that." I told him where "this and that" came from and he changed his mind!

They are beautiful! When I went to Italy 2 years ago we went to a glass factory on Murano off of Venice. We got to watch a little glass blowing and then visit the showroom. The glass was beautiful!

Thank you for sharing yours...it brought back memories of a lovely trip.

I love them and where they came from! I love the picture of Jo Anne, do you have it sitting next to the candlesticks?

Have a blessed day dear Karen! HUGS!

I think the picture is from 1956 and the candle sticks a few years later. Can't remember, but it was early in my travel days. Fun to see them again.

Oh my, I love your candlesticks, Karen. I like bright colors in my home, especially that vibrant shade of yellow.

The candle sticks are beautiful. Sentimental too. You have to have them. So, here is my question to you.
Can I have the Moon and Star pitcher? ha ha ha. I have a feeling you wouldn't give that up either.

I'm Nana by the way.
