This is a very old recipe that Jean would make. My mother remembers that on Sundays Jean would make this coffee cake so that she and "Gumpy" could have it with their afternoon coffee.
The posting below is a little heavy and way too long, but a few people wanted to know more about Jean.

Hi Karen
Thank you for visiting me today. As I read your profile, I find that we have much in common...besides silver jewelry, white shirts and jeans!
I enjoyed reading your blog and will come back for a visit.
This coffee cake is one of my favorites, too. And I always add LOTS of pecans to the topping.
Re: iguanas...We do not have many here in the Tampa Bay area...at least I have not seen them. They are mostly in south FL. I did have lunch with one in Ft Lauderdale...an open air restaurant with a palm tree within arm's length of my seat...and a beautiful green iguana was sitting there, staring at me the whole time. Creepy!!! (and I did not have my camera!)
Smiles,
Jane (Artfully Graced)
