"The Wizard of Oz"
My favorite movie when I was growing up was "The Wizard of Oz". It was scary, colorful and magical. Judy Garland was so cute too. Later when I read about how she won the role over Shirley Temple it was surprising to me. As much as I loved Shirley, it had to be Judy to play the part of Dorothy. Those flying monkeys were terribly frightening and I swear I still get a creepy feeling when I watch that movie... which I do at least once a year.
I actually met one of the Munchkins last year on a tour of Judy Garland's childhood home in Minnesota. I took a friend along to tour the Judy Garland museum with me and I even bought an old Wizard of Oz book... which I found out later wasn't very old. Oh well...
So how did you feel about "The Wizard of Oz"?

Honestly, I'm not sure if I've ever made it past the flying monkeys to see the end of the movie. Though I have seen the beginning over and over and over.
You must see it, Jennifer. It has such a neat ending. "There's no place like home!"
