Toot Your Own Horn Tuesday - "Save the Ta-Tas"

It's the month for PINK!

We all know that October is
Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Every year I think this cause is bigger than the year before.
This year's theme was "Save the Ta-tas"
Darling tee-shirts were sold
(sad, but good they were sold out by the time I was there to shop)
Renee's of Sharyland in Mission, Texas hosted a lovely
breakfast with all of the proceeds going to breast cancer research.
We heard from a woman who recovered from breast cancer,
a doctor and then a man around the age of 40 who had lost his wife to breast cancer... to me the most moving talk.
A lovely breakfast was served including and egg and bacon taco... with a pink tortilla, fruit with pink yogurt and a cinnamon role with pink frosting. We each received a
pink rose. It was all so impressive and got me on the ball to
make my annual check up at the MD Anderson Women's Wellness Clinic.
Have you scheduled your appointment yet?

Reagan's preschool teacher was diagnosed with breast cancer last week. Tomorrow will be her last day with the children, as her surgery is scheduled for Thursday. Please say a prayer for Miss Kristi.

What a lovely event...so glad you shared about it, Karen! Thank-you for the reminder, as I still need to get mine done this year.

Hope you're having a wonderful night, my friend!

Wonderful post and YES I just had my check-up! All was well! Love the table setting looking delicious! Sounds like you enjoyed some wonderful speakers!

I will be praying for Miss Kristi mentioned in Jennifer's comment! Breast cancer takes too many wonderful lives and I am glad that the awareness is huge these days!

Have a blessed day my friend! HUGS!

A definite worthy cause. It hits home for me, having lost my dear mother at the age of 48, to this disease. I due for my exam shortly. Thanks for the reminder!
