China cabinet - help needed!

This is what the inside of one side of my china cabinet looks like. I think it looks boring. How do you have yours set up? I wish some of you in "blogger land" would post pictures of your china cabinet so I can get some ideas. Thanks!

  1. Oh, I so agree, china cabinets are really hard. I would love to see some photos too. Yours looks better than mine. Hugs, Marty

  2. Thanks for stopping by. The tree in the back yard is just called a Purple Plum. It is not fruit bearing, it does loose it's leaves here for a very short time, but then it has the prettiest pink flowers, then leaves again. All of this happens in about a month. I love the dark purple foliage, it really seems to change the appearance of the landscape. My DH said they would do fine in S. Tex. Ours was only a 15 gal. 4 yrs. ago when we moved in, so they also grow pretty fast. It is back to 106 to day and suppossed to be 108 tomorrow. I hope this is the last hurrah. Next week it is suppossed to be in the mid 90's. That will seem cool. lol Hope you have a great day. Hugs, Marty

  3. Hi Karen,
Your china cabinet is lovely. You could give it a bit more character by bringing bring in some different items like candles, small photos on a stand, decorative urns a vintage clock. Even a stack of antique books could be worked in. Be selective about what you display and store the rest if you want it to look like a show piece.

  4. Hi!
You asked if I had painted my lion urns....no, the first picture at our old house, they were wet from a rain storm so they looked darker. At my new house they were dry. They are made of cement and hold moisture...

Once I get settled in my new house, I will post pictures of my cabinet/hutch. But if you want to see what it looks like currently, here is a post I did:
